COVID-19

Updated 04/05/2022

To our patients,

Our community has been through a lot recently, and we look forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.  While many things have changed, one things has remained the same:  our commitment to our community and your safety.

At Kennedy Dental, infection control has always been a top priority.  Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  • Our office may communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You may be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.

  • If you are ill or not feeling well, please call us to reschedule your appointment, please do not arrive at the office with cold-like symptoms.

  • Patients may be screened for fever and temperature before appointments.

  • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.

  • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.  We may ask you to wait in your car until we are ready to seat you for your procedure.

  • We have added additional general seating area to the waiting room.

  • You may be asked to rinse with a special medicated rinse prior to your procedure.

  • We've added additional medical grade HEPA H13 filters to our treatment rooms and other areas of our office.

  • For any procedure that generates aerosols (water spray), we may use a specialized intra-oral high-volume suction device.  This significantly reduces the amount of water spray that leaves the mouth.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call or text our office at (941)351-9900.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.

Sincerely,

Dr. Aaron Kennedy
